Founded in 2002 by Richard and Matt Booe, Spectran has experience operating in Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio and Michigan with the occasional trip to West Virginia. In the beginning, we focused on trucking and eventually pivoted towards heavy machinery moving for companies such as MacAllister Machinery, Asplundh, Pittman Mine Service and more. That led to becoming a contract hauler for Peabody Energy, specializing in being on-site for planned maintenance periods for their walking draglines. Due to regulations of the trucking industry and rising costs, we were driven to reinvent and focus on the dying art of underwater excavation of sand and gravel. Having spent the last couple of years working in the Indianapolis area producing material for the new I-69 project, we have just disassembled our dragline and moved it to Terre Haute, Indiana, to produce material for S&G Excavating.  We are excited for our future and look forward to many productive years.
